Bass Lake resort gives canceled nuptials a second chance

The Pines Resort at Bass Lake is hosting a free wedding gift for couples who had to cancel or postpone their wedding.

With canceled vacations, canceled cruises, postponed conferences and social gatherings, weddings have become a logistical casualty of Covid-19.

Immediate health concerns, gathering restrictions, venue and border closures have directly affected many wedding plans. As a result, weddings across the country – including 25 at the Pines Resort in Bass Lake – have been postponed. This caused additional stress and financial hardship for both couples, as well as the wedding vendors.

The Pines, however, is teaming up with local vendors to save one of those marriages.

A couple will receive an all-inclusive “micro wedding” at Pines Resort for up to 20 people (a $6,000 value). This is exclusively offered to couples who have been relocated or whose wedding has been canceled due to Covid-19.

“If the virus has affected you or your loved ones and as a result, you had to cancel your special day, we want to hear from you,” said Taylor Westerman, director of wedding sales at The Pines. “If your home location could no longer accommodate your special day due to current restrictions, this opportunity is for you.”

Applications are accepted online through August 20 at The winner will be announced in September.
