The video shows the water rising almost to the windows.

The flooding also caused serious problems for drivers at the north end of DuSable Drive as some cars drove on the bike path to avoid the flooding.

There has been flooding in other places like the Ravenswood Viaduct and Irving Park. Cars stalled in deep water near Western and Ogden. All drivers are OK.

A gas station was underwater for a while in Lincolnwood.

A group of sailors had to be rescued near Evanston. They were caught on the lake as the storm was blowing. Eight boats capsized and at least two people were in the water without a lifejacket.

The Evanston Fire Department was able to get everyone back to shore safely. The Coast Guard also assisted in these rescues.

ComEd said it expects service to be restored to all customers at 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
