Dubai’s newest hotel opened in one of the city’s most popular resorts.
The design-centric JA Lake View Hotel is the third property at JA The Resort at Jebel Ali, Dubai.
Guests checking into the new hotel are greeted by the sight of an 800-year-old olive tree when they arrive at the 348-room property on the expansive grounds of one of Dubai’s oldest resorts.
The hotel collection was named “Dubai’s most sustainable five-star resort” in June of this year at the Dubai Sustainable Tourism Awards and the JA Lake View Hotel takes this title seriously.
In addition to solar panels and paperless check-in, the hotel has developed an innovative food waste program. JA Hotels and Resorts has already banned plastic bottles in all of their hotels.
Three outdoor swimming pools offer guests a wide choice for swimming and the Calm Spa is on-site for those who wish to relax. The Bibe rooftop bar isn’t quite ready yet, but when it opens it promises stunning views of the million-square-foot resort and the Arabian Gulf.
South Asian and Indian meals are courtesy of Kinara by Vikas Khanna. The chef of Indian origin has animated several seasons of MasterChef India and has written 34 award-winning cookbooks. It aims to provide the resort with affordable shared Indian meals inspired by traditional home cooking. Elsewhere, the JA Lake View Hotel is also home to a gastro pub called Republik and 81 – an all-day restaurant named after the inaugural year when JA Resorts and Hotels opened their very first hotel.
Guests staying at JA Lake View Hotel can also use any of the facilities at JA The Resort, meaning there are seven swimming pools with four swim-up bars, 25 restaurants and bars, a 9-hole golf course, tennis courts tennis, squash and badminton courts, stables and six shooting ranges to choose from.
