Lake Resources NL supported by the acquisitions of Orocobre and Ganfeng Lithium in the district

The company is working to prove that a pilot scale ion exchange module can consistently process brines from its Kachi project into high purity, battery grade lithium carbonate by volume.

Lake Resources NL (ASX: LKE) is witnessing growing interest in lithium actors and projects in northern Argentina, where lithium brine producer’s flagship project, the Kachi Lithium Brine Project, is located.

Lake’s Kachi and other 100% owned leases are in a prime location among the largest lithium industry players within the Lithium Triangle, where approximately 40% of the world’s lithium is produced.

The region has recently seen an increase in acquisition activity with Orocobre Limited (ASX: ORE) (TSE: ORL) entering into an agreement to acquire 100% of Advantage Lithium Corp (CVE: AAL) (OTCQX: AVLIF).

Advantage Lithium’s Cauchari Lithium project contains 4.8 million tonnes of measured and indicated lithium carbonate resources and is located only 20 kilometers from the Olaroz Orocobre lithium production facility.

Ganfeng – Americas Lithium Project

Earlier this month, global lithium leader Ganfeng Lithium Co Ltd (SHE: 002460) agreed to pay Lithium Americas Corp (TSE: LAC) $ 16 million for an additional 1% stake in the Cauchari- project. Olaroz in the lithium triangle.

Ganfeng’s stake will increase from 50% to 51% while Lithium Americas will retain a 49% stake and get $ 40 million in cash in the form of interest-free loans.
