Community engagement meeting

MGT Consulting Group will host a virtual community engagement meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday to present the City of Waco Disparity Study project overview and gather feedback from business owners on their experiences in business or trying to do business with the city. The meeting is open to the public.

Meeting on the east side of the bend

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host a free East Side Turn Row meeting with registration beginning at 8 a.m. Friday on Crunk Road near Asa in southeast McLennan County.

Cropping systems specialist Ronald Schnell will provide an update on the current growing season, primarily on corn, sorghum and cotton. Integrated Pest Management Officer Tyler Mays will discuss field conditions regarding his insect and disease scouting report. John Robinson will provide an update on the cotton and feed grain market.

Pro-Life Waco meets on Sunday

Flag removal ceremony

Lake Shore Funeral Home and Crematory, 5201 Steinbeck Bend Drive, will host a Flag Day celebration followed by a flag removal ceremony at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 14.

Anyone can bring your torn or tattered flags if they need to be respectfully retired.
